The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the maintenance department and supporting production to ensure all equipment is properly maintained and running at optimal levels. Additionally, the successful candidate will create, organize, and plan preventative maintenance schedules, learn and utilize maintenance software, plan and purchase materials for upcoming projects, train new and current maintenance technicians, and ensure maintenance tasks are completed on time and within budget. The Maintenance Supervisor must be able to lead small teams, manage projects, and prioritize across multiple departments. It is expected the successful candidate will also perform some of the maintenance tasks.
Role And Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Create and schedule work orders and techs to proactively keep production equipment functioning at its highest level to minimize downtime.
- Create and / or maintain Preventative Maintenance (PM) plan, including frequency and work to be done, with input from engineering and production. Review and revise PM plan when required.
- Maintain and update equipment manuals, PM records, DNR records, and training materials for all plant equipment to ensure they are up to date.
- Create, implement and maintain all applicable safety, health, and environmental policies, procedures, and training.
- Oversee recycling waste stream from booths, hoods, and dust collectors, maintaining records, and establishing, maintaining, and following procedures.
- Drive 5S, Lean Continuous Improvement projects within the maintenance department and support these efforts for production.
- Make recommendations for improving / replacing plant equipment. Help plan to support future growth opportunities.
- Oversee all custodial work within the building to ensure it is done on time and satisfactorily.
- Lead the maintenance team as well as lead cross functional teams on improvement projects.
- Perform employee evaluations and is involved with hiring and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Train employees in other departments when applicable.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required; or associate’s degree in maintenance, Electrical, or related field with several years of experience, preferredAt least 5-7 years of maintenance experience is required, and 1-2 years management experience is preferredAbility to read and understand CAD, blueprints, and schematic drawingsAbility to analyze and troubleshoot complex electrical, electronic, mechanical, and fluid, systems to rapidly obtain successful outcomesDemonstrates strong technical, mechanical and electrical skills and can work with machines, repair, and troubleshooting equipmentAbility to keep detailed records regarding processes, procedures, inventory, etc.Ability to analyze difficult situations, quickly solve problems, and comply with production standardsAbility to work well with all levels of the organization, whether as a team or in individual situationsAbility to operate equipment and machinery in a safe manner5S / Lean experience, robot programming experience, PLC programming experience all preferredExperience with an electronic Preventative Maintenance systemExcellent communication (verbal / written), interpersonal and computer skills (proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite desired)Demonstrated ability to work across functions and among a variety of levels within an organization, on individual and group projectsFlexible and adaptable to changing priorities and able to balance multiple tasksAbility to wear appropriate, required PPEWork Location : 570 Bluemound Road | Waukesha, WI 53188
