Job description

Seasonal Angel Tree Program Support

This position is responsible for :

  • Provides support for the seasonal Angel Tree program; lifts, carries, loads and unloads a variety of donations; serves as an attendant at Angel Tree sites; interacts with donors and responds to questions regarding the donation process; assists with the clean up, lay out, and set up of the warehouse; assists with pick up from the malls or corporations. Performs data entry of recipient information.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Responds to questions about Angel Tree program; maintains a good relationship with donors and recipients to promote a favorable image of The Salvation Army.
  • Lifts and stacks donations in vehicles and in the warehouse; distributes donations to their proper place; organizes donated items in the established method.
  • Assists with data entry of recipient data into established database.
  • Assists in cleaning and maintaining the Angel Tree displays, Christmas warehouse and loading dock area.

    • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :

  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
  • Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25lbs.) 5-10% of work time.
  • Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
  • Ability to stand in one location for extended periods.
  • Work requires working in a warehouse environment with exposure to fluctuating temperatures and discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

    • Education and Experience :

  • High School Diploma of G.E.D. preferred, but not required.
