Journeyman Plumber
Join our team at a prominent hospital, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing various plumbing systems and equipment. Your expertise will ensure the efficient operation of systems such as drainage, waste, vents, medical gases, and more, contributing to the safe and effective functioning of our healthcare facility.
Repair and install equipment and plumbing systems including valves, pumps, traps, faucets, and more.
Maintain plumbing systems such as drainage, waste, vent, medical gases, compressed air-vacuum, oxygen, steam supply and return, hot and cold water, kitchen equipment, and fire protection.
Ensure the smooth functioning of gas, water, air, steam, traps, valves, lines, and waste disposal systems within the hospital.
Install and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures by interpreting blueprints and written specifications.
Journeyman Plumber's License
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial facility; ideally 1 year in healthcare (not mandatory)
Proficiency in installing, repairing, altering, testing, and maintaining all plumbing and piping systems.
Knowledge of CMMS work order systems, preventive maintenance, building maintenance, and mechanical systems.
Ability to work with blueprints and understand piping, pumps, valves, and traps.
Understanding of building management systems (BMS).
Live within 1 hour of the hospital to ensure timeliness for on-call responsibilities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Melrose, Massachusetts.
The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $46.00 / hr.
