Job description

Retail Merchandise Strategy Specialist

The Retail Merchandise Strategy Specialist plays a key role in the execution of strategic initiatives across the Retail Channel, ensuring its continued growth as a revenue generating unit. The Retail Merchandise Strategy Specialist will have a strong background in marketing and sales and will be responsible for the implementation of marketing and merchandising updates across all Optimum stores. With a strong attention to detail, he / she will partner closely with store teams to ensure flawless application across all store types.

Responsibilities include :

  • Manage content across Digital Platforms, SiteKiosk and One Door. Responsibilities include : Building planograms in One Door platform
  • Updating all planograms for marketing / merchandising resets
  • Monitoring compliance photos to ensure accurate execution in the field
  • Review accuracy of locations, fixtures, floorplans and planogram designs to ensure that all plans are accurate and executable at store level
  • Communicate with field teams for updates, fixes and feedback on merchandising execution
  • Partner closely with the retail and mobile marketing teams to ensure on time delivery and placement of in-store printed and digital collateral
  • Manage regular communication with all store teams regarding promotional / operational updates and compliance tracking
  • Maintain and monitor merchandising across all locations, updating on a store-by-store basis as needed
  • Support Retail Managers in data collection, content management, systems support, quality control, monitoring, store merchandising, and issue troubleshooting
  • Assist in designing, developing, documenting, and communicating new and existing policies, processes, and procedures, ensuring standardization across all retail stores
  • Drive store traffic by supporting store openings, closures and retail activations
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional teams both internally and externally

Qualifications include :

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3+ years industry experience in Communications, Telecom, Mobile
  • 3+ years retail store experience, a plus
  • Experience with digital platforms SiteKiosk and One Door, a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite including, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Photoshop
  • Strong project management skills, ability to work independently
  • Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
