The Support Engineer II will serve as the first point of contact for IT service requests, providing onsite technical support to corporate employees. This role involves direct interaction with users via chat, phone, email, and in-person support. This role offers exposure to a wide range of business types within a large tech organization, providing valuable experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic technical support to corporate employees
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues across Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems
- Respond to inquiries via chat, phone, email, and ticketing system in a timely manner
- Document customer interactions accurately and thoroughly
- Inform customers of needed repairs and ensure satisfaction with completed work
- Follow standard operating procedures and utilize knowledge management systems
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant policies and procedures
- Assist with system / network outage triage and escalation
- Support AV presentation equipment and teleconferencing systems
- Adhere to shift schedules and demonstrate flexibility for weekends and holidays
Qualifications : Basic Qualifications
2+ years supporting Windows, Mac, and / or Linux in a corporate settingHigh school diploma or equivalentAssociate degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience2+ years of helpdesk or desk-side support experienceStrong verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyCommitment to quality and strong multitasking abilitiesPreferred Qualifications :
