Job Description
ROLE - SPECIALTY
Cath Lab RN - Cardiac Diagnostic/Interventional

Schedule
- Call: Typically 6 evenings + 1 weekend per 6 weeks
- Orientation: 36 hours

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Cath Lab experience (diagnostic & interventional)
- Travel experience required (no first-time travelers)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCI/RCIS
- EMR: EPIC preferred, McKesson also used
- Unit-specific skills:
- PCI/PTCA, stent placement, left & right heart cath, IABP placement/removal
- Impella insertion, temporary pacemaker, VAD insertion, Rotablator
- Vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Room circulator and scrub duties; sterile field maintenance
- Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias; EKG lead placement; access site prep
- Isolation precautions/PPE

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field during procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and status throughout procedures, recognizing any immediate concerns.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient care and procedural outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the Cath Lab.

Compliance / Notes
- Background checks and drug screens may be required.
- Pre-approved time off allowed: 2 (per contract)
- Submission requirements: Current license and all required certification copies, proof of local address, completed prescreen questionnaire, two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years.
- Orientation and completion requirements: Required onboarding modules (~16 hours average) must be completed within 72 hours of offer.
