About the Role :

The Inventory Warehouse Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate management of inventory within a supply chain environment. This position is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and finished products. The supervisor will lead a team to maintain optimal inventory levels, minimize discrepancies, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. By implementing effective inventory control procedures and coordinating with production and logistics teams, the supervisor helps to streamline supply chain processes and support overall manufacturing goals. Ultimately, this role ensures that inventory is managed in a way that supports timely production schedules and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Proven knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse management software.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse environments.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required and work in a physically demanding environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related discipline.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing industry warehouse setting.
  • Certification in inventory management or logistics (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP).
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with advanced warehouse management systems and data analysis tools.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping of materials and products.
  • Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
  • Lead, train, and evaluate warehouse staff to maintain high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to forecast inventory needs and optimize stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards within the warehouse environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and prepare reports for management review.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Skills :

    The Inventory Warehouse Supervisor utilizes strong organizational and leadership skills daily to manage warehouse staff and coordinate complex inventory processes. Analytical skills are essential for monitoring inventory levels, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to maintain accuracy. Communication skills are critical for collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing clear instructions, and reporting to management. Technical proficiency with inventory management software and data analysis tools enables efficient tracking and reporting of stock movements. Additionally, problem-solving skills help the supervisor to address operational challenges and continuously improve warehouse workflows.
