Medical Support Assistant

The incumbent serves as a Medical Support Assistant (MSA) in the Community Care department. The incumbent performs clerical and administrative support in the coordination, care, and treatment provided to patients throughout the Community Care referral processes in the Saint Cloud MN VA.

Responsibilities include : scheduling appointments, recognizing the urgency of consults, accurately scheduling medical care, communicating appointment details to patients, collaborating with nursing teams, and facilitating access to care.

Work Schedule : Monday-Friday 8am-4 : 30pm

Requirements include : U.S. Citizenship, proficiency in written and spoken English, subject to background / security investigation, and completion of an online onboarding process.

Qualifications include basic requirements such as citizenship, experience, education, and English language proficiency. The full performance level of this vacancy is GS-5. The actual grade at which an applicant may be selected for this vacancy is in the range of GS-3 to GS-5.
