Job description

A company is looking for a Mortgage Loan Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities

Review loan application packages to ensure compliance with company and secondary market standards

Evaluate borrower qualifications, income, and credit quality to determine loan decisions

Maintain knowledge of loan products and ensure accuracy of loan disclosures and documentation

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of Residential Mortgage Underwriting experience

College degree preferred but not required

Strong understanding of secondary market guidelines (FNMA / FHLMC / GNMA)

Effective analytical and mathematical skills

Knowledge of mortgage insurance and regulatory compliance
