Description :

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the MS / Tele Nursing Float.

The unit has 32 beds.

Ratios are 5 : 1, with the possibility of 6 : 1 in the event of inpatient boarding.

Nurses are responsible for reading telemetry strips.

Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, cellulitis, ETOH withdrawal, kidney issues, dementia, and CVAs.

Nurses provide close observation through camera monitoring.

There is an IV team available across shifts to assist.

Pharmacy and respiratory therapy services are available 24 / 7.

Requires weekend coverage every other week and holiday coverage.

Scrub colors should be professional styles and patterns.

This position requires floating between multiple units such as Med Surg, PCU, ED boarding, and temporary bed locations.

Charge nurse responsibilities may be assigned.

Typical staffing includes 4-5 nurse aides per shift.

This position offers guaranteed 36 hours per week.
