Overview :
Our client is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join their team in a manufacturing environment. This candidate needs to be analytical, proactive, and collaborative as they will be dealing directly with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify and execute cost reduction initiatives through supplier negotiations, material re-design, and sourcing process improvements
- Manage multiple commodity categories, executing sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, and supply continuity
- Research, qualify, and develop global suppliers to improve performance in pricing, quality, and delivery
- Lead and support RFQs, supplier negotiations, and competitive bidding events to achieve Purchase Price Variance (PPV) targets
- Negotiate key supplier parameters including pricing, lead times, order quantities, and payment terms
