Manufacturing Technician

Overview

It all starts with you! When you join the OLED Manufacturing Technician team you will be part of the core group who handles set-up, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of machines and equipment used in manufacturing, R&D, pilot, test and production materials at both intermediate and finished good levels. You will monitor quality, test devices, collect and analyze data and more! You can’t mind being on your feet as you will be working on our machines and tools in a busy environment.

What You’ll Do Every Day

Each day you will help raise product quality and profitability by operating equipment, testing materials and products, establishing new / modified equipment run parameters, assisting with equipment installation / validation, and working on continuous improvement of processes and procedures.

You will collaborate closely with a team of engineers and scientists and may also contribute to special projects. You will always comply with safety regulations and maintain clean work areas. Although the majority of your work will be in what we call the Fab or the Lab, you will also work at your desk to document statistical process control, record results, and write procedures.

You will contribute to the Quality Management System in Rochester and help OLEDWorks maintain ISO9001 and IATF certifications.

Skills You Must Bring

You bring a quality and safety focused attitude, and you have hands-on working experience in a fabrication type environment. It is helpful if you bring organic and inorganic materials knowledge as well as skills in mechanical operation in a vacuum environment. You are comfortable working independently as well as coordinating with others and your ability to problem solve is a must. You can adapt within a changing and growing company environment and seek out solutions with a positive outlook. You have demonstrated the delivery of great customer service in previous employment and understand the importance of the same at OLEDWorks.

This position is on-site in Rochester. We will need someone who can stand 50% of the time, walk, reach, bend, and lift / move boxes and materials up to 25 lbs. Occasionally we will need something heavier moved / lifted using assistance. The ability to use tools and machines daily is required.
