The Job
The Area Business Development Director acts as a liaison between internal and external referral sources, and internal operations. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining long lasting relationships with physicians, case managers, and other referral sources, and ensuring appropriate patient placement through clinical screening assessment in conjunction with internal clinical leadership. Additionally, the Area Business Development Director assists with the coordination and implementation of processes for Admissions and Marketing in a designated local area or territory.

Responsibilities and Deliverables of the Role
Assist with the coordination of Admissions training for the designated communities in the area.Assist in educating and providing processes to facilitate the external process for admissions in designated area.Assist in organizing in-service training, community programs, or other marketing programs.Assist with providing sales and marketing education to Admission Coordinators and Business Development Directors.Assist with market development in designated area.Participate in review and evaluation of marketing efforts.Ensure ongoing communication with management regarding marketing reports and trending analysis; provide quarterly assessment of marketing efforts for designated communities is assigned area.Achieve monthly and quarterly budgeted admissions.Establish and cultivate professional relationships with referral sources to generate repeat referral opportunities.Attend conferences and professional seminars, as requested, to promote the Community.Provide timely and detailed input to marketing budget.Demonstrate knowledge of the acute setting and marketplace to stay abreast of healthcare changes and / or trends.Perform competitive analysis of competitor communities on periodic basis as requested.Conduct presentations and tours of the Community to potential referral sources and families.Submit timely and accurate reports.Communicate activities, progress, issues and / or concerns to Administrator.Work with Administration on an ongoing basis regarding concerns and issues which impact census building in the Community; respond to requests and participate in field ride?along and trainings.Identify need and opportunity for the Community to package programs with clinical, nursing, and medical directors to market specific diagnosis?based services.Develop strategic annual and 90?day sales plans based upon budgeted census needs, payor mix, and patient mix.Schedule, coordinate, and promote educational / CEU activities for referral sources, to support ongoing professional development.Convert referrals into admissions in a timely manner.Maintain working knowledge of state and federal regulations that pertain to admissions and marketing.Track physician non?monetary items for compliance and submit to ML Healthcare Management. Adhere to all Stark Laws and Anti?Kickback statutes.Attend in?service and educational programs, as requested.Exercise universal precautions in the Community environment to protect against exposure to infectious diseases.Alignment with the core values of ML Healthcare and the community is a requirement for this position.
Qualifications
Must live in the Austin Region (main community will be Cedar Park, TX)Must be able to travel to Henderson and Kemp, TXMinimum 3 years experience as a marketing representative, or clinical liaison in a healthcare environment.
