Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heating / cooling systems in residential settings. This role requires a deep understanding of HVAC systems, strong technical skills, and the ability to explain thoroughly to customers.

Responsibilities :

Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and safely.

Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues promptly and effectively.

Troubleshoot problems with HVAC systems and develop solutions to address them.

Conduct regular inspections of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.

Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians as needed.

Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on HVAC systems.

Stay up-to-date on advancements in HVAC technology and industry best practices.

Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.

Communicate effectively with customers to explain the scope of work and answer any questions they may have.

Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical school training preferred.

KY Journeyman License at least 3 years of experience working in residential HVAC maintenance and repair.

Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues.

Strong understanding of HVAC principles, equipment, and components.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications :

EPA 608 certification.

NATE certification.

Experience with a variety of HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, geothermals and boilers.

Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to mentor junior technicians.
