Job description

We are looking for a psychiatrist to work in South Texas near Brownsville, specifically in Port Isabel, TX for a long-term role. If you are looking for a job that offers great work-life balance, this is the role for you. We are seeking compassionate providers who can provide value-based care.

Details :

  • Setting : government facility serving underserved patient population in Port Isabel, TX
  • Duties :

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide psychotherapy and medication management
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient Care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  • All patients ages 18 and up
  • Schedule : PART TIME - 20 hours per week

    • Required :

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from a school in the US or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school established by NCFMEA or ECFMG
  • Completion of 4 years of medical specialty training leading to board eligibility or certification in psychiatry
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed practicing psychiatrist
  • Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
  • Active TX license
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
