About The Position

Must-Have :

Minimum 2 years of experience required.

Accepting first-time travelers.

At least 1 year of EPIC experience required.

Description :

Our nurses are committed to providing quality care in a high-stakes environment.

Nurse-to-patient ratios are as follows : 1 : 1 with labor patients, 1 : 2 with cytotec inductions, 1 : 1 with mag patients, and 1 : 3 with couplet care (mother-baby).

If a baby requires additional care in the nursery, the Registered Nurse maintains a 1 : 1 ratio.

Floating to other units may be required based on census needs, but will only occur within qualified areas and documented competencies.

The unit serves a variety of patients, including those in labor, preterm labor, preeclampsia cases, and patients undergoing hysterectomies.

Special procedures include LDRP responsibilities and caring for GYN surgery patients.

Registered Nurses perform their own hearing screenings.

Nurses are cross-trained in various roles including labor and delivery, circulator role, acute care nursery, and OB triage.

Our facility is designated as Baby Friendly and equipped with Panda Warmers and Giraffe incubators.

Interdisciplinary support is provided through various services including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

Daily census averages around 5 patients, with a capacity of 15 rooms and beds.

This role requires a high level of collaboration and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment.
