Job Summary : JF CS is seeking a compassionate and skilled Hair Stylist & Manicurist to join our team at our community center salon. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality hair styling and nail services to individuals with intellectual disabilities, seniors, and other members of the community. In addition to salon duties, the candidate will act as a support staff for interns / employees with disabilities who are interested in learning salon skills that do not require licensing, gaining employment experience, or working in the salon environment.

• Provide haircuts, styling, and manicures to clients, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
• Assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in learning basic employment skills related to the salon industry.
• Support interns with their professional development and salon-related tasks, offering guidance and encouragement.
• Collaborate with other support staff and caregivers to create individualized service plans for interns as needed.
• Collaborate with the Disability Services Coordinator to develop procedures and instructions for the interns
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic salon environment in compliance with state regulations.
• Offer consultation to clients regarding hair care and styling preferences.
• Manage salon appointments and walk-ins efficiently, ensuring minimal wait times.
• Participate in continuing education courses and trainings as mandated by state agencies and JFCS
• Complete documentation and daily logs, when applicable, as mandated by state agencies and JFCS
