Coal Quality Control Technician

Experience and abilities you will need :

• High school education or higher with emphasis on science.
• Ability / willingness to do physical work in all weather conditions while collecting coal samples.
• Two years' experience working in lab environment preferred but not required.
• Basic math skills : add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, percentages.
• Ability to keep neat and accurate records.
• Basic computer skills
• Writing and communication skills
• Logic and critical thinking
• Decision making
• Results driven

MSHA Surface Certification Required

To be eligible to work on a federal mine site, candidates must complete a 16-hour MSHA surface certification. If selected, training will be provided at no cost.

What you will do :

Under the direction of the Operations Coordinator the Coal Quality Control Technician performs tests on the mined coal to assure conformance to GCC Energy and customer defined standards.
