Location : Salina, Kansas (67401)

Healthcare Setting : Birth Center (Labor & Delivery), occasional Mom Baby unit

Contract Type : Travel RN assignment

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7 : 00pm – 7 : 00am)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,970–$2,110 per week

Start Date : November 24, 2025

End Date : February 23, 2026

Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend required

Unit Details : 8-bed LDR, 16-bed postpartum, Level II NICU

Average Deliveries : 1,200+ per year

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 1.5 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience

Active Kansas or Compact RN license required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate FHM

Experience with Meditech EMR (required)

Travel nursing experience preferred

Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (radius rule)

References required

COVID-19 vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

Prior employees of Salina Regional Health Center not eligible

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive care for laboring mothers and newborns, including high-risk deliveries

Assist with C-sections, forceps / vacuum deliveries, and postpartum care

Perform and interpret fetal monitoring (internal / external), NST, OCT, and reflex checks

Administer medications, IVs, and manage surgical cases

Support breastfeeding and provide lactation education

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, etc.)

Float to Mom Baby unit as needed

Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR
