CSIS Security Group Manager
The CSIS Security Group Manager is accountable for management of complex / critical / large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses / geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.
Responsibilities :
- This role will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of Citi by interacting with multiple businesses across the enterprise.
- This role will leverage subject matter expertise, whether that is physical security and safety, crisis management, security technology, event security / logistics or vendor management.
- Responsible for complying with all policies required to meet organizational goals in order to eliminate or reduce threats and vulnerabilities.
- Manage day-to-day operational activities within span of control, to include emergency response, crisis management and recovery functions, across multiple locations.
- Establish and maintain high-level relationships with law enforcement authorities, first responder agencies and key business support entities.
- Synchronize security activities to generate Key Performance Metrics (KPI).
- Integrate concept of "Continuous Improvement" into management activities.
- Manage budgets, display fiscal and budgetary discipline to meet expected spend patterns, achieve goals and remain within defined budget parameters.
- Manage contingent and contract staff at various Citi facilities, sites and branches.
- Clearly and concisely brief management on ongoing major security matters and does so in a professional manner.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

10+ years of experienceManaged team of Security managers, security professionals and contingent staffEstablished effective relationships with senior business leaders and internal partnersManaged complex security projects that have global consequences as well as criminal or regulatory implicationsExecuted efficiently under tight time constraintsDemonstrated in-depth understanding of the elements of a security & safety risk and control environment.Demonstrated a broad understanding of security vulnerabilities with proven skills to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities through partnershipDemonstrated in-depth understanding of security technology (e.g., DVR, CCTV, Cameras, Surveillance, Access Control, Biometrics, Alarm Systems, Fire detection & Suppression)Conducted independent research and identifies new technology to enhance security controlsHas experience in understanding potential security or safety threats (e.g., fire, executive protection), local threats based on geographic location and other factorsDemonstrated in-depth understanding of risk management and innovatively develops solutions and makes suggestions to senior management to mitigate risksPerformed / participated in critical resource evaluations of staff to raise operational effectiveness and efficiencyRelevant experience in a private / public sector security environmentExperience working in a corporate or financial services security teamDomestic and International TravelFlexibility to work on call off hours / weekendsEducation :
Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degreeManage and coordinate the security and safety services in Citi's nine Data Centers, significant Tech Rooms and Public Sector Processing Centers. Responsibility to ensure that the program meets business requirements, client requirements and applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Design incident response plans and take the lead during physical security and safety incidents.
