Commercial Painter - Airport Infrastructure Project

Prepare surfaces on metal structures, stucco exterior walls, interior drywall systems, and concrete surfacesPerform cleaning, sanding, scraping, and priming activities across diverse substrate materialsAssess surface conditions and identify appropriate preparation methods for different environmental conditionsRemove existing coatings when necessary and repair minor surface defectsApply appropriate primers to ensure optimal coating adhesion and longevityCoating Application and Quality Control
Apply protective and decorative coatings using brush and roller techniquesWork with various coating types including latex paints, epoxy systems, specialty aviation-grade coatings, and anti-corrosion treatmentsApply weather-resistant finishes designed for harsh airport environmentsInspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specificationsMaintain detailed records of materials used and surfaces coveredSafety and Security Compliance

Minimum five years of commercial painting experience with multiple surface types and coating systemsSubstantial experience on large-scale commercial or industrial projectsAbility to obtain and maintain airport security clearanceMust successfully pass comprehensive background investigations including criminal history checks, employment verification, and personal reference reviewsClean background with no disqualifying criminal history, particularly theft, violence, or security-related offensesTechnical Expertise
Proficiency in surface preparation techniques for metal, stucco, drywall, concrete, and composite materialsCompetency with power tools, sanders, pressure washers, and various cleaning equipmentKnowledge of proper primer selection and application techniques for different substrate materialsCoating application skills with brush, roller, and spray equipment operationUnderstanding of proper thinning ratios, environmental application limitations, and quality control inspection techniquesPhysical Requirements
Ability to work at heights using scaffolding and aerial lift equipmentCapability to lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularlyPhysical stamina for extended periods of standing, climbing, and repetitive motionsVisual acuity sufficient to detect color variations and surface defectsPreferred Qualifications
