What you must do as a Maintenance Technician :
- Assists Maintenance Manager with all plant maintenance operations, ensuring that plant premises and equipment are kept in safe and clean condition
- Assists in building a maintenance program that optimizes the plant’s uptime, considers costs, and satisfies all industry regulations and OSHA guidelines
- Complete PMs. Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild equipment and document the work done without direct supervision
- Monitor equipment and ensure it is kept in good working order. Work closely with management to repair or replace equipment as needed
- Monitor boilers and associated equipment for proper operation
- Assist outside contractors with repairing and installing machinery
- Able to apply general plumbing and HVAC skills to maintain equipment and facility
- Always complies with company policies and procedures
- Maintains a neat and clean working area throughout the day
- Operate forklift to unload and load trucks.
- Other duties as assigned, as required by scope of work or customer needs.
Qualifications / Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience is requiredPunctuality and reliability is a must.Honesty and exceptional work ethic.Ability to solve problems independently.High School diploma / GED equivalent required.Must be 18 years of age or older.2ndt Class B Boilers Operator License preferred.Physical Demands
Continual standing and walking during shift.Continual reaching with hands / fingers / arms during shift.Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crouching during shift.Must be able to occasionally lift over 80 pounds.Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals.Schedule
