Gorjian Acquisitions, a privately held real estate investment firm based in Great Neck, NY, is seeking a Property Accountant to join our Asset Management team. This role will handle all property-level accounting and support the firm’s acquisitions and investor reporting functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple responsibilities across a diverse real estate portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Manage property-level accounting , including general ledger entries and expense tracking.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations .
  • Handle tenant reconciliations for operating expenses, CAM, taxes, and insurance.
  • Review and verify business credit card charges .
  • Assist with due diligence during acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Support in preparing closing statements for property transactions.
  • Assist with financial reporting for investors and lenders.
  • Collaborate with the Asset Management team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred but not required with strong experience).
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management .
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and property-level accounting practices.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, AppFolio, MRI, or similar).
  • Advanced Excel skills; ability to handle reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.

    • Compensation

  • Pay Range : $80,000 – $90,000 annually (commensurate with experience).

    • Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive salary : $80,000 – $95,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Paid time off for all major Jewish holidays (Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Passover, and Shavuot)
  • Paid time off for all national holidays

  • Opportunity to work closely with the Asset Management team at a growing real estate investment firm

    • Schedule

  • Work hours : Monday–Thursday, 9 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM
  • 9 : 00 AM – 2 : 00 PM (winter months) / 9 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM (summer months)
