Shift : 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM, Monday–Friday (8-hour day shifts)

Hours per Week : 40

Holidays Off : Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2620 - $2690 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or cardiology nursing

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Proficiency with Epic EMR required

Pacemaker management or electrophysiology (EP) experience preferred

Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in a cardiac stepdown unit, monitoring and managing patients with complex cardiac conditions

Administer cardiac medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to cardiac events

Manage pacemakers and assist with electrophysiology (EP) procedures as needed

Document all nursing care accurately in Epic EMR

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

Educate patients and families on cardiac health, procedures, and post-discharge care

Maintain a safe, supportive, and patient-centered environment
