Job Overview
The Auto Claims Desk Appraiser contributes to Wawanesa’s goal of delivering an exceptional and consistent claims service experience through the assessment and evaluation of low to moderately complex automobile estimates with the aid of a computer application. This is a desk position.
Compensation : Depends on experience and varies by location.
Colorado Compensation :
- The pay range for this position is $26.26 - $41.36 per hour, depending on experience.
- This position is considered non-exempt for purposes of wage-hour law, which means you are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek or more than 12 hours in a workday.
Nevada Compensation :
The pay range for this position is $27.57 - $41.36 per hour, depending on experience.This position is considered non-exempt for purposes of wage-hour law, which means you are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek.Washington Compensation :
The pay range for this position is $26.26 - $39.39 per hour, depending on experience.This position is considered non-exempt for purposes of wage-hour law, which means you are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek.Job Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer serviceConduct technical analysis of submitted repair estimates with estimating software to ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practicesCommunicate with repair facilities, estimators and adjusters as required to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimatesRefer estimates to appropriate parties for re-inspection as requiredMeet company service standards by maintaining an active production schedule and diary systemDevelop positive business relationships with internal and external partiesMaintain vigilance in the detection and prevention of fraudServe as a resource person to less experienced adjusting staff and appraisersRemain up-to-date with legislative changes, trends in the insurance industry, estimating practices and developments in automobile repair procedures and materialsPerform other duties as requiredQualifications
3 + years automobile estimating experienceProfessional / technical designation would be preferredStrong knowledge of estimating software (Mitchell)Excellent investigative and analytical skillsHighly proficient time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in a fast paced, changing environmentDetail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entryExcellent negotiation skillsStrong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingStrong customer service skillsPosition requires the ability to lift up to 10 lbs on a daily basis and low mobility throughout the branch buildings to meet internal customer needsBenefits and Other Total Rewards Components Include :
