We are searching for qualified and self-motivated Registered Medication Aids to join our assisted living facility. You will perform a variety of patient care duties including administering medication, reporting changes, collecting samples, and recording medication dosages.
The ideal medication technician will be extremely detail-oriented and possess in-depth knowledge of patient care procedures. Providing excellent patient care is a vital part of this job, which is why excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT MAY NOT BE LIMITED TO :
Assists with the administration of prescribed medications.
Must maintain a working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the position
Assists residents with activities of daily living to include but not limited to showering, grooming, dressing, eating and toileting.
Reports incidents involving residents to include care concerns or issues to appropriate supervisors
Perform housekeeping duties, such as making resident beds, cleaning resident rooms, common areas, dining room, etc. as directed by supervisor. Other duties include cooking and laundry as assigned for your shift.
Respond promptly to all resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts
Assists in planning and conducting activity programs for residents
Follows confidentiality policies regarding release of resident information
Assists residents to and from the dining room, and to and from activities
Checks on residents, ensures attendance at meals and activities
Checks on residents who are ill and reports status or concerns to appropriate individuals
Communicate verbally and in writing to report resident status, upcoming community information, resident appointments, admissions, and transfers
