Personal Care Paraprofessional

The Perkiomen Valley School District is seeking a personal care paraprofessional to assist a student in special education for life skills and autistic support at the High School. This is a full-time, 10-month position which includes paid time off (personal and sick days) and is eligible for full benefits (medical, prescription, dental, and vision). The hours for this position is 7 : 30 am - 3 : 00 pm and is available immediately.

Teacher certification is not required, however it is preferred for this position.

Purpose of Position

At the direction of the principal, assists teachers by performing a variety of tasks that promote student learning and well-being. Works individually and in small groups with students to reinforce instruction, monitor performance, and support learning. This position also performs a variety of instructional and classroom management supports.

Terms of Employment

• Full-time (7.5 hours / day); 10 months

Compensation

The starting hourly rate for thess positions are $21.00 in accordance with terms of the Perkiomen Valley Educational Support Personnel Association Collective Bargaining Agreement
