Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : Med Surg Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : Minimum 2 years in Med / Surg License : Active nursing license in good standing Certifications : BLS required, ACLS preferred, current NIH certification required Must-Have : Telemetry experience Post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention experience Description : Hospital is an acute care facility with numerous awards for quality of care, including nursing excellence recognition. The focus is on putting patients first. Emphasis is on patient care practices and new technology while maintaining patient safety as a top priority. Patients are treated as individuals, with compassion and care. This approach ensures excellent service for every patient, every time. Unit consists of 46 beds with patient ratios of 6 : 1. Staffing includes Clinical Nurse Coordinators, RNs, LPNs, PCTs, Nurse Externs, and Unit Clerks based on patient census. Experience with telemetry monitoring, EKG interpretation, and CPAP management is required. Advanced skills preferred include chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vacs, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, and blood transfusions. Procedures performed on this unit include telemetry monitoring and paracentesis. Staff are encouraged to provide feedback and suggestions to enhance workflow and patient care. The unit utilizes GroupMe for communication and staff recognition. There are opportunities for exceptional teamwork, with a supportive leadership team and clinical educator.
