Telemetry LPN / LVN
Shift : 07 : 00–19 : 00 (12-hour days)
The Telemetry LPN / LVN provides skilled nursing care to critically ill patients who require continuous cardiac and physiological monitoring. This role involves monitoring heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and responding promptly to patient changes. The nurse may perform bedside monitoring or work from a central monitoring station.
Key Responsibilities
Perform basic & advanced life support interventions.Monitor cardiac dysrhythmias, interpret rhythms, and initiate appropriate treatment.Administer medications, including continuous infusions (non-titrated vasoactive meds, antiarrhythmics, insulin, platelet inhibitors).Perform medication dosage calculations and monitor for medication effects.Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure monitoring for :TEE
Cardiac catheterization with PCICardioversionBronchoscopyEGDPEG placementChest tube insertionRecognize and respond to cardiopulmonary emergencies; stabilize patients prior to critical care transfer.Set up, troubleshoot, and interpret hemodynamic monitoring .Interpret ABGs and communicate findings.Assess ventilated and long-term ventilator-dependent patients; assist with weaning.Manage non-invasive oxygen delivery systems (oral airways, BiPAP, CPAP).Monitor and care for patients requiring renal therapies (hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, bladder irrigation, stents, urostomies).Recognize complications of enteral and parenteral nutrition.Engage families in care planning; support transition from hospital to home.Required Clinical Competencies
