Principal Cloud Development Engineer, Infrastructure Services

Overview

We would prefer you see us at our best. At Pega, our Infrastructure Services Team powers a rapidly growing Cloud SaaS business. This role is onsite 2x per week in Waltham, MA, and due to FedRAMP requirements, US Citizenship is required.

Pega Cloud is designed and operated by the Infrastructure Tribe, delivering secure, FedRAMP-compliant solutions across AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Istio, and related observability and automation tooling. We value collaboration, DevOps practices, and continuous learning as we build, automate, and improve cloud-native deployments.

What You’ll Do

Design, build, and operate highly available, scalable cloud-native systems using Golang, Java, or Pega Platform.

Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to design and document new Pega Cloud features.

Design and execute unit, integration, and API tests.

Leverage DevOps tools and CI / CD pipelines to enable automated operations of our services.

Support the operations team across the full service lifecycle.

Maintain and build FedRAMP-compliant services inside AWS.

Must be a US Citizen due to Government Support / FedRAMP requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 7–10 years of professional experience
• Strong knowledge of Golang, Java, or other object-oriented languages; experience with microservices
• Cloud experience with AWS and GCP
• Infrastructure as Code experience, particularly Helm and / or Terraform
• Kubernetes experience or strong containerization knowledge
• FedRAMP experience is a plus
