($1000 sign on bonus given out in increments) This position is a managerial oversight position of a residential group home setting that will entail the ability to properly staff the group home with the staff needed to deliver the services. This is a rewarding yet challenging position in that working with individuals with developmental disabilities can be unpredictable at times. The assistant group home manager will be responsible to ensure that all of their staff supervised are well trained on policy and procedure as well as protocols needed to operate within the group home. Further they will ensure that all their staff supervised are up to date with their training as mandated by SMR and the State of Montana.
The group home manager is part of a team and is expected to provide direct care, distribute medications and transport when needed due to staff shortages. The Group home manager will work with Program manager to ensure that their group home is up to date with drills and training as well as the overall Health, Safety and Environmental aspects of the group home.
From a financial aspect, group home manager is expected to be able to manage a budget, oversee client expenditures and ensure clients are maintaining their personal financial accounts to meet criteria set by Medicaid, Social Security, State of Montana, and SMR.
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS :
This is a full-time position requiring at least 40 hours per week that have the ability to be flexible relative to the group home needs to ensure that adequate staffing, services and supervision are provided. You may have a schedule developed that may vary from what you actually work to ensure that adequate staffing for health and safety is achieved
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Work as a team with the group home manager to manage the group home
Ensure all Policy and Procedures al being followed
Ensure that all contractual requirements are being followed
Ensure that all activities meet federal and state funding requirements
Ensure that the group home meets and maintains state licensing requirements
Provide up to 40 hours of Supervision and Direct Care for 8-10 individuals who need assistance in all areas of daily living, including personal hygiene, social integration and behavioral issues.
Provide direct supervision to location
Participate in Leadership development program
Assist in development and participate in agency sponsored events
Perform direct care duties as necessary, including, personal hygiene, assistance with laundry, assistance with household tasks.
Communicate with Supervisors, Case Management, Day Programs regarding illness, appointments, medications, and other relevant health or behavior information.
Effectively and skillfully communicate with outside entities within the parameters of this position.
Ensure all protocols are implemented as written.
Ensure all persons served are dressed neatly and appropriate for the weather, according to agency guidelines.
Ensure proper nutrition for each individual thru menu planning, shopping, and food preparation.
Ensure the health and medical needs of each person served are identified, and met per state and agency guidelines.
Ensure all activities of staff and consumers are conducted in a safe and prudent manner.
Report all incidents in which health and safety are of concern. All Incidents are reported within 24 hours
Monitor the material needs of persons' served and assisting to meet those needs within financial resources.
Assessment of individual supports and services needed, strengths and weaknesses, and at risk behaviors.
Develop and present information required in a Personal Support Plan (PSP) to individual's team at annual and discretionary meetings according to State and agency guidelines.
Assist the team to develop a PSP that enables each person to achieve his / her maximum potential.
Develop outcomes and actions to meet the visions for each person's life utilizing implementation Strategies, Protocols, and deceleration strategies.
Implement actions, monitor progress, and provide quarterly reports in regards to each person's progress as outlined in the PSP.
Update and maintain information as necessary.
