Responsibilities

• Develop Android client code solutions that deliver on Product Strategy and adhere to established engineering best practices, design guidelines and principles.
• Partner with Software Engineers, UX / UI, Quality Engineers, Product Owners / Analysts to deliver high performing, quality customer experiences that are engaging and simple.
• Actively participate in all team agile ceremonies, ensuring team commitments are delivered on time and with high quality.
• Advocate for the mobile platform within internal and external developer communities.
• Remain an active learner in technologies related to mobile development (Kotlin, 3rd party libraries, etc.).
• Influence and contribute to group discussions, incorporating feedback from the broader team.
• Mentor junior to mid-level team members.
• Engage with developers outside of the local sprint team across disciplines (Android, iOS, APIs, Web, etc.).
• Own and lead delivery of major components and platform needs in partnership with Senior Engineers and Architects.
• Share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams.
• Identify technical obstacles early and work with the team to find creative solutions.
• Review pull requests and ensure adherence to Kotlin and other language idioms.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is for candidates hired to work within one of these locations. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated. McLean, VA : $158,600 - $181,000 for Senior Software Engineer. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. The actual annualized salary offered will be reflected in the offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and / or long-term incentives (LTI).
