As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the premises to help deter unauthorized access and security-related incidents. You will remain visible and approachable, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to everyone on site. This post may include working in areas with limited on-site facilities, such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack, offering a unique and dynamic work environment. Sat 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Sun 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures to help maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by addressing questions and offering assistance as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any security-related concerns.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and any irregularities observed during shifts.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and site representatives regarding security-related matters and / or incidents as required.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Experience working at sites with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
