Increased  Pay Rate : $45.00 per hour plus $120.00 a day per diem, non-local

Job Description

Four years of navel experience as a first-class Shipfitter. Experience must be documented.

Required Skills

• Multi-Pass Tack & Burn
• Burning-Oxygen / Propane Burning Torch
• Heating -Oxygen / Propane Heating Torch
• Ability to comprehend complex structural assembly drawings, blueprints, and sketches to include weld symbols, datum, and reference lines
• Ability to comprehend fractional dimensions with the use of a ruler
• Ability to lay off piece parts for fabrication and assembly
• Ability to assemble structural piece parts
• Experience working in a physically demanding environment
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to the shipbuilding industry
• Use grinders and needle gun tools
• Air Carbon Arc Gouging
• Ability to use Work Packages and Drawing to pan
• Ability to use Molded Lines and Ship References Lines to execute required work
• Ability to Erect, Set, and Makeup Decks, Bulkheads, Longitudinal, trucks, etc.
• Ability to Erect, Set, and Makeup Complex-shaped Shell Plates
• Ability to install and Replace Hull Inserts and Penetrations
