Travel Nurse Job Details Location : Columbus, Ohio 43205 (Central Ohio healthcare jobs) Facility Setting : Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Float Pool Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Contract Start Date : November 3, 2025 End Date : February 2, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 3x12-Hour Day Shifts (07 : 00 - 19 : 30) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Pay : $2250 - $2310 Patient Age Groups : Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents Weekend Coverage : Required PICU RN Qualifications Active Ohio or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at submission) Minimum 2 years of recent PICU nursing experience BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications Proficiency with EPIC EMR system (minimum 3 / 4 rating) Ability to float to NICU, CV PICU, Emergency Department (ED), stepdown, and MedSurg units as needed Two professional references (one from a manager or supervisor) No permanent staff employment at this facility within the last 2 years Must reside outside a 60-mile radius from the facility First-time travel nurses considered with 3 years of experience and Level 1 Trauma experience preferred PICU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU Float between PICU, NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and MedSurg units as assigned Perform advanced pediatric nursing procedures, including ventilator management, arterial line management, and central line care Administer medications and blood products, manage acute and chronic renal failure, and monitor hemodynamics Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate documentation using the EPIC electronic medical record system Adhere to infection control and isolation precautions Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training Ready to take the next step in your travel nursing career?
