Behavioral Assistant (Morris County)

Overview

Behavioral Assistant (BA) at Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare — Part Time.

Base pay range

$20.00 / hr - $25.00 / hr

Responsibilities

• A BA will visit the client at home or in the community to provide relief to caregivers and holistic support to youth.
• Typically work 2-20 hours weekly in 2-4 hour shifts, starting after 3 : 00pm during the school year and as early as 8 : 30am during the summer. Services are available any day of the week to accommodate scheduling needs.
• Individual Support Plan development and implementation
• Delivery and monitoring of behavior analysis services
• Submission of weekly clinical progress notes, within 24 hours of service provision
• Data collection and display (e.g., graphics) as authorized by a recipient's behavioral analysis service plan
• Compliance with service authorization, including time frames and service hours
• Implement interventions in the Individual Support Plan
• Implementation of behavioral procedures for the acquisition of replacement skills and reduction of problematic behaviors
• Carry out treatment as designated by the supervising behavior analyst, including :
• Facilitating environmental arrangements
• Using proactive strategies
• Teaching and developing new skills
• Managing specific consequences for behavior based on function
• Willingness to work with the child or youth to increase ADL (Assisted Daily Living) skills within home and during community outings
• Assist parent / guardian in the implementation of the treatment plan
• Assist the behavior analyst in training caregivers and / or staff
• Crisis prevention, recognition, and intervention
• Ensure all agency policies are implemented and followed
• Participate in required training
