Accounting Position

Examples of duties include :

• Greeting visitors and answering incoming calls
• Collecting, verifying, and recording cash and check deposits
• Reviewing, sorting, and distributing incoming mail
• Preparing and reconciling deposit slips, cash receipt forms, and bank documentation
• Compiling, sealing, and documenting bank bags for Finance and other departmental deposits
• Maintaining accurate tracking spreadsheets for departmental deposits
• Coordinating daily deposit deliveries
• Verifying deposit slips returned from the bank
• Processing returned checks
• Maintaining subsidiary account ledgers

Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited two-year technical college with coursework in accounting or business with two years of experience in accounts receivable, payroll, or accounts payable; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
