HR Specialist

A company is looking for a Human Resources Specialist (HR Specialist) to manage HR operations in a remote part-time role.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain the employee handbook, policies, and onboarding processes

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple jurisdictions

Administer benefits, coordinate recruiting efforts, and maintain accurate HR records

Required Qualifications

3+ years of HR generalist / specialist experience

Experience supporting a remote workforce across multiple U.S. states

Strong knowledge of federal employment law and multi-state compliance

Hands-on experience with Gusto or a comparable payroll / HRIS platform

Self-directed and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
