Job description

Minivasive Pain and Orthopedics is seeking for a Full-Time Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner. Minivasive Pain and Orthopedics is an outpatient clinic network serving the greater Houston, TX area, delivering personalized and compassionate orthopedic and pain management care. Our providers work in a collaborative environment focused on patient-centered excellence and continued professional development.

Position Highlights :

  • Conducts complex and standardized patient care procedures, which require experience and specialized training that would otherwise be performed by a physician, but which do not constitute the practice of medicine.
  • Performs relevant patient assessments and physical examinations and provides appropriate treatment.
  • Coordinates, directs, and implements patient’s plan of care.
  • Manages pre-operative and post-operative patients in coordination with the faculty supervising physician.
  • Utilizes advanced assessment skills to anticipate complex patient problems specific to surgery while communicating information to supervising / attending physicians.
  • Orders, conducts, and interprets pertinent laboratory and diagnostic studies and procedures.
  • Formulates, implements, and evaluates an outcome-based treatment plan.
  • Maintains appropriate records detailing the patient’s treatment plans and outcomes. Enters chart documentation for review and counter signature by the physician.
  • Facilitates patient education relating to medical processes, medication, nutrition, and health promotion or postsurgical care.
  • Collaborates with patients, families, other clinicians, and referral services to assist in the patient’s recovery.

  • Requirements :

  • Master’s degree in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas
  • National Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB)
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the State of Texas
  • Prescriptive Authority issued by the Texas Board of Nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
