JOB SUMMARY
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintains accurate and appropriate levels of inventory in clinical and other assigned areas.
- Responsible for tracking supplies, processing and maintaining accurate records through the Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system, and other hospital information systems as appropriate.
- Receives and delivers medical supplies and equipment to QHS facilities and off site locations
- Keeps current on specialty items for department / service.
- Performs duties in accordance with department and medical center policies and procedures.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Standing, walking, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, sitting.Frequent : lifting usual weight of 5 pounds, pushing / pulling up to 20 pounds of force, reaching above, at and below shoulder level; static gripping of an object for prolonged periods, repetitive arm / hand motions.Occasional : stooping / bending, squatting, twisting body, frequent gripping of an object.III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS :
Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.Requires access to transportation to assist at off site locations.Meets and complies with qualifications set forth in QMC Fleet Safety Policy.IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
A. EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE :
High school diploma or equivalent.Valid U.S. driver’s license required in accordance with Hawaii State law rules and regulations.Driver’s abstract or evidence of good driving record.Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) preferred.B. EXPERIENCE :
Two (2) years experience in product distribution and inventory management, preferably in a comparable organization.Experience to demonstrate ability to operate automated inventory systems.Knowledge of medical supplies preferred.
