Responsibilities Work in the ICU within a hospital environment Patient ratios are typically 1 : 2, occasionally flexing to 1 : 3 Required to float to all ICUs and may float to the ED or PACU to care for ICU patients; occasional floating to MS / PCU with a 1 : 4 ratio Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19 : 00-07 : 30) Four weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule No call responsibilities Utilizes equipment such as Alaris IV pumps, CADD PCA pumps, Servo I ventilators, Fresenius CRRT dialysis machines, Edwards Lifesciences cardiac monitors, Medtronic EVD management, Arctic Sun TMS, GE monitors, Hill Rom beds, Pyxis medication station, and Veratron bladder scanner Epic EMR experience required Nurses are responsible for providing care to COVID-19 and isolation patients as needed Knowledge of N95 mask size is required Responsibilities include all lab draws, EKGs, and starting IV lines Pre-start education modules must be completed prior to start RTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days for the contract Requirements Active LA or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS (CPI can be obtained at the facility) Experience with Epic EMR required Must be able to perform lab sticks, EKGs, and line starts Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel status Any previous permanent employee at an LCMC facility must have been gone for at least 1 year to be considered Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624619.
