Job descriptionPatient Demographics : Adults Patient Volume / Census : Average 3 5 surgical cases per block (summer) Admissions : Yes Rounding : Not specified Phone Consults : Yes Case Mix : Ortho trauma including upper extremity, lower extremity, periarticular, pelvic, and acetabular fractures No. of Beds in Department : 378 (entire hospital) Trauma Level : Not specified (trauma center experience required) EMR System : Epic Office Equipment Available : TBD Specialty Backup Available : 3 other ortho trauma fellowship-trained surgeons Support Staff Available : Ortho trauma team Reason for Coverage : Full-time locums coverage Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : Not specified Credentialing Timeline : days Rate : TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered Complex orthopedic pelvic and acetabular fracture management General acute orthopedic trauma care Periarticular fracture treatment Licenses : Open to licensing in ID Certifications : Board Certification from ABOS or AOBOS Experience : Minimum 1 year in trauma; trauma fellowship required Other Qualifications : DEA and Idaho CSR required; Epic EMR experience preferred Provide orthopedic trauma surgical care during specified call periods Treat high-acuity ortho trauma cases including pelvic and acetabular fractures Collaborate with onsite ortho trauma surgical team Respond to emergent cases based on priority and call response times Provide patient evaluations and surgical follow-up care as needed
