ummary
The HVAC Technician II performs intermediate-level installation maintenance and repair of heating ventilation and air conditioning systems. This role requires solid technical knowledge the ability to work independently and experience with troubleshooting residential and / or commercial HVAC equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems including filters coils belts motors and controls.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in furnaces condensers heat pumps chillers rooftop units and ventilation systems.
Install and commission HVAC equipment such as split systems mini-splits air handlers package units and thermostats.
Interpret and work from blueprints wiring diagrams and technical manuals .
Use diagnostic tools (multimeters gauges leak detectors) to identify issues and complete necessary repairs.
Assist with refrigerant handling recovery charging and leak testing in compliance with EPA standards.
Ensure all work follows safety regulations building codes and company procedures.
Provide excellent customer service explain findings and recommend solutions to clients.
Maintain accurate service records work orders and inventory of materials.
Mentor entry-level technicians as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school preferred.
24 years of HVAC experience (or equivalent Level II competency).
Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
Strong understanding of HVAC electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in confined or elevated spaces.
