About The Position

Job Title : Radiologic Technologist

Must be able to function in all areas including General X-ray, Portables, OR, and Fluoroscopy.

First-time travelers are accepted.

Description :

The department has a total of 4 rooms, including 3 general X-ray, 1 fluoroscopy, 2 portable, and 3 C-arms.

Staffing consists of 6-7 Technologists from 0600 to 1700 hours, 3-4 Technologists in the Evening, and 1 Technologist on Midnights.

Technologists will float between the general department, fluoroscopy, and operating room.

Common imaging studies performed include general X-ray studies, operating room cases such as cystoscopy, orthopedic, and gastrointestinal, as well as fluoroscopy cases related to orthopedics and gastrointestinal procedures.

The average number of scans / studies performed per day is approximately 110.

The electronic medical record system in use is Community Works, and the Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS) is Intellirad / Intelliconnect.

Department-specific equipment includes C-arms from OEC, portable units from GE AMX with DR-Konica, and diagnostic rooms featuring Del Medical, Siemens, and Philips equipment.

An Imaging Director and Manager are available Monday through Friday during daytime hours and can be reached via telephone.

There are no Registered Radiology Assistants in the department.

A Radiologist is present in-house 24 / 7 until 1700 hours, after which they are on call, with Vrad providing interpretive support from 0200 to 0600 hours.

Technologists are not required to start IVs.

Shift scheduling involves a 2, 2, 3 pattern between two teams, working two consecutive days followed by two days off and then three working days on 8-hour shifts.

Day shifts can vary from 06 : 00 to 23 : 00, with midnight shifts from 00 : 00 to 08 : 00.

Overnight, the Technologist may be the only staff member in-house within the department.

Weekend requirements involve working every other weekend, and holiday rotation may be necessary.

No call or standby requirements are in place for this position.

Scrubs may be any color as long as they are clean and professional.

Permanent staff wear emerald green scrubs, which travelers may choose to match without obligation.
