Job description

Vaco Phoenix is partnering with a client who has an excellent opportunity for an Assumptions Processor. This role will be responsible for managing the process of mortgage assumption applications, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of all related documentation. This is a contract position located in Phoenix, AZ, paying up to $24 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

Process mortgage assumption requests from start to finish, ensuring all required documentation is accurately collected, reviewed, and compliant with investor and regulatory standards.

Serve as a primary point of contact for borrowers, real estate agents, and other stakeholders, providing clear communication and timely updates throughout the assumption process.

Collaborate with internal servicing teams and external partners to meet established timelines and deliver a seamless customer experience.

Review and confirm borrower eligibility in accordance with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae guidelines.

Accurately input, update, and maintain loan data within the servicing system to ensure proper recordkeeping and reporting.

Identify opportunities to improve workflows and leverage technology to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of agency guidelines, investor requirements, and regulatory changes related to mortgage assumptions.

Ideal Background

2+ years of experience in mortgage servicing, loan processing, or a related function, with direct exposure to assumptions strongly preferred.

In-depth knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae servicing and investor guidelines.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple files, tasks, and deadlines simultaneously.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience in mortgage servicing, processing, or closing with exposure to agency and government loan products.

Familiarity with state-specific recording and documentation requirements.

Proven ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent secondary education required; post-secondary education preferred.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco / Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco / Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
