Job description

Associate Payroll Research Analyst.

You will research, analyze, and write about payroll developments for incorporation into our tax research platform as news and analysis. You are an analyst with substantive experience in wage and hour, benefits, taxes, wage deductions, wage payments, or payroll practices and procedures, interested in putting that experience to work in a technology-driven environment. You will track developments on payroll-related issues, perform some legal analysis, and write up findings. You will be part of a team tasked with ensuring the substantive accuracy and timeliness of content and analysis on Bloomberg Tax.

What You Will Do :

  • Screen legislation, regulations, and other payroll developments at the federal, state, local, and international levels.
  • Write, analyze, edit, research, update and create new payroll-related content.
  • Update the Payroll Administration Guide and other products for such developments by adding, deleting, or modifying content to reflect relevant changes in the law.
  • Edit contributed content for substantive accuracy, clarity, format, and style.
  • Develop a level of subject matter knowledge of issues in relevant legal and tax fields.
  • Stay abreast of and effectively use software, electronic resources, and other tools to perform the job effectively.
  • Conduct limited peer review of other analysts’ work.​
  • Collaborate with Analysis, Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience, Production, and other teams to create and deliver technology-enhanced tools, content, and workflows for customers.
  • Work independently, plan, organize, set priorities, and advance multiple projects simultaneously
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Have :

2-4 years of related experience.

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience. CPP, CPA, J.D., or MST preferred.
