We empower advisors to deliver tax-efficient, customized direct indexing portfolios at scale and on demand. Our cutting-edge technology manages thousands of investor accounts and reviews portfolios daily for tax-loss harvesting opportunities.

Vanguard is seeking an expert software engineer to build innovative direct indexing capabilities at scale. You will drive the design and development of new features that expand the range of portfolio customizations we offer to advisors. This role is also responsible for improving our existing portfolio management technology, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with portfolio managers. Your technical leadership will play a crucial role in solving the challenges of managing complex financial portfolios.

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate closely with the quantitative methodology research team to design and implement new investment product capabilities.
• Develop and optimize algorithms for implementing investment products using quadratic optimization techniques.
• Lead the design and development of software solutions utilizing modern engineering practices and your investment domain expertise.
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of VPI systems.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
