Job Description & Skill Requirement :
This position is for a Senior Embedded Project Engineer to join a growing aerospace team with L&T Technology Services (LTTS). As an important part of the Engineering team here at LTTS, you will actively be providing critical value to our customers by leading, and coordinating embedded projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and timeline objectives.
This role will work with the LTTS team, as well as our major aerospace engine customer. The ideal candidate will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to lead the design, development, and implementation of embedded software solutions, executing using best practices in embedded software operations.
This is considered a hybrid working position, meaning this role will require working from the customer facility in Windsor, Connecticut, and approved home offices daily.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of embedded software projects, from concept to delivery, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress against milestones and deliverables
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders; Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, firmware engineers, and product managers to define project requirements and specifications
- Design, develop, and optimize embedded software solutions for various applications related to aerospace applications
- Identify and mitigate project risks, anticipate challenges, and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines and budgets
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors as needed to integrate third-party components and technologies into embedded software solutions, if required
- Conduct feasibility studies, process evaluations, and cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making and project prioritization
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the development process, and actively participate in product certification activities
- Update status reports, present project status to customers, and work with LTTS project management to ensure productive and consistent customer communication.
- Understand and adhere to all export control regulations.
- Travel locally onsite to the customer facility several days per week as needed and comply with all customer site requirements.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant experience considered7+ year(s) of relevant experience in project engineering of complex projectsStrong understanding of engineering principals and relevant technologies related to the project domainAbility to plan, execute, and monitor projects from initiation to completionKnowledge of programming languages commonly used in embedded systems, such as C, C++, and assembly languageSolid understanding of embedded software development tools, debugging techniques, and version control systemsExperience with both real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded Linux platformsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in embedded systemsOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsOutstanding customer interfacing skillsDemonstrated leadership abilitiesMust be a . CitizenPreferred Qualifications
Proven experience in project management / engineering, preferably in a regulated industry such as aerospaceProject Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plusKnowledge of regulatory standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or FDA regulationsAn understanding of engineering outsourcing business practicesExperience writing or creating standard work, establishing processes, and documenting lessons learnedAn alignment with LTTS company values, including Being Purposeful, Ethics & Integrity, Caring, A Culture of Learning, and Results with Accountability.
