Security Officer - Utility Perimeter Driver

As a Security Officer - Utility Perimeter Driver in Springfield, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol utility locations to help create a secure environment for staff and visitors. Your visible presence helps to deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and clear communication supports a positive atmosphere. This is a driving position, requiring a valid driver's license as you conduct regular patrols throughout the assigned areas.

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or incidents within the utilities environment.
  • Interact with staff, contractors, and visitors in a professional manner while maintaining a visible presence.
  • Follow post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Document and communicate all security-related incidents and activities according to company and site standards.
  • Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
