Production Engineer Assistant Manager

Our client, within the Automotive industry, is seeking a Production Engineering Assistant Manager to join their team. As a Production Engineering Assistant Manager, you will be part of the Production Engineering team supporting seat assembly production engineering. This person will have 1 direct report but still 50% of the time, be hands on technically.

Pay Range : $103,000-$128,750 / Yearly + 3% Bonus Annually

What’s the Job?

Supervise and develop Seat Assembly Production Engineering (PE) team in the establishment and setup of production processes within just in time (JIT) automotive manufacturing plants.

Create and evaluate process plans and production preparation plans for new Seat Assembly processes.

Create and evaluate process flow, layout, work combination and equipment specs.

Supervise supplier selection process for sourcing of tools and equipment.

Control budget and track budget related activities.

50 / 50 on technical hands on engineering work and management duties

Occasional travel to Athens, AL plant (2 hours from Mississippi plant).

What’s Needed?

Bachelors Degree preferred. Associate's Degree in lieu of experience.

2+ years of supervising experience (having direct reports)

Automotive industry preferred. Will entertain another industry with same regulations / processes.

Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder

Understanding of PLCs. Don't need to program them, but familiar with Ladder Logic.

Familiar with AutoCAD.
